October 17, 2011: Holocaust Teacher Training Workshop

The Holocaust Teacher Training Workshop — The Workshop will provide teachers with knowledge and skills to help them prepare and present lessons about the Holocaust that will educate students about it and will encourage them to develop character, compassion and civility in their daily lives. The workshop will be held at Tallahassee Community College. By attending this FREE workshop you will earn continuing education credits and receive FREE materials for your classroom!. October/November 2011: The Remembrance Film Forum

The Remembrance Film Forum provides numerous different perspectives on the Holocaust. Each of the four weekend's has a central theme showcasing a total of twelve (12) shorts & feature films from around the world with talents such as Dustin Hoffman & Joan Allen. Most films are being screened in the Big Bend for the first time. Screenings will be held October 16, 23, 30 and November 6. See the flyer for additional details.

Angel on My Shoulder?

Miriam Schlezinger, born 1927, lives in Tallahassee, FL and shares her story as a witness to the atrocity that was the Holocaust. She is proof of its occurrence and a living reminder that we are all responsible in the fight against evil.
